BRADLEY
Bradley is the owner of Valewood Estate Clivias. He has a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality and is responsible for ensuring that every clivia purchased meets his high standards. He has over a decade of experience growing and breeding clivias and is always willing to share his expertise with others.
KATRINA
Katrina has grown up watching her father build his collection of Clivia, and with the assistance from her husband Michael, they have played a major role in developing this incredible website. Katrina has a great eye for detail and plays a major role in the administrative side of the business.
VALEWOOD ESTATE
Valewood Estate is a 67 -acre property, located north of Toowoomba, and where we call home – With a similar environment to Stanthorpe it’s extremely cold in winter when temperatures can drop as low as -7.5 degrees.
As a result; plants are protected with frost cloth on extreme nights. Summer conditions rarely exceed 34 degrees.
These environmental conditions appear to enhance the colours; growers have made comment to Bradley about the stronger and more vibrant colours in plants they bred in other areas.
Our Shade House
Our shade house is 26 meters long x 15 meters wide and covered with an 80% black shade cloth.
All plants are on benches at waste height providing good aeration around the plants.
Our clivias are watered from tanks; during dry conditions groundwater is used which is of potable quality.
